Ulf Malmros' Bäst I Sverige! (We Can Be Heroes!) is a family film about the problems of a ten-year old. Marcello (Ariel Petsonk) has two loving, but odd, parents. Father Giuseppe (Michael Nyqvist) wants the boy to group and play soccer, while mother Gunilla (Anna Pettersson) wishes the young boy would join the church choir. A trio of bullies constantly picks on Marcello at school. After talking to a statue of Jesus at the church, Marcello is surprised when it (Pontus Stenshäll) talks back, providing advice on how Marcello can confront his problems. When a Lebanese family buys the house next door, Marcello befriends their child, Fatima (Zamand Hägg). Fatima improves Marcello's soccer skills, while Marcello provides Fatima with some protection when the bullies attack.

In this teen romance, a young neglected English boy named Paul Harrison (Sean Bury) runs away and becomes friends with a French girl named Michelle La Tour (Anicee Alvina) on the same flight. Together, they go to an idyllic marsh location in France; specifically, the Camargue. There, they become lovers, set up housekeeping, have a baby, and play at being responsible adults. Along the way, both Paul and Michelle discover many of the troubles that can be involved with family life.
Ultimately, however, police who have responded to a missing-persons report separate the two and, presumably, take their baby into protective custody.
Friends is a 1971 teen-romance film directed and produced by Lewis Gilbert and written by Gilbert, Vernon Harris, and Jack Russell. The soundtrack, with music composed by Elton John and lyrics written by Bernie Taupin, was released as the Friends album, and John's recording of the title selection charted when released as a single in the United States. The film was nominated for Golden Globe Award for Best English-Language Foreign Film at the 1972 Golden Globe Awards. It was also nominated for Best Original Score Written for a Motion Picture at the 1972 Grammy Awards.

In this black and white melodrama about children, the child murders that the film's title refers to are the million and one ways that children's souls are ravaged by neglect, unkindness and cruelty, even though several physical deaths take place in the story. Zsolt (Barnabбs Tуth) lives a lonely life with his grandmother, having been left in her care by his mother so that she could leave the country. He spends so much time taking care of his grandmother (rather than the contrary) that he has little time for much else. However, he makes friends with Juli (Mбria Balogh) a homeless young gypsy woman living in an abandoned railway car. This friendship becomes known to the other children in his circle, and results in his being actively ridiculed, ostracized and beaten. When Juli has a miscarriage and Zsolt helps her dispose of the baby's corpse, they are seen by one of the hate-filled local children, who notifies the police. The gypsy girl is taken to a prison hospital, where she hangs herself. Zsolt quietly takes his revenge on the informant. His life takes a turn for the better when his grandmother is hospitalized and he comes to the attention of a kindly policeman.

"El Pollo," a 13-year-old child in reform school, witnesses and experiences the brutalization of the guards and the other inmates.

A beautiful, poetic movie regarding the tormented existence of young inmates in Argentinian's juvenile jails, more or less during dictatorship rule. The young "pollo" escapes from one male-directed prison only to be recaptured and sent to another one, led by women. In spite of the warden's ferocity and sadism, he manages to tie a relationship with the only female that seems to care for the kids, who is eventually discovered and punished. The film discloses the rueful sadic behaviour of adults, priests included, against the stray cats, and the magic of human relationships that mild in these desperate situations. Though it seems that from Argentina we only get movies about fascist and concentration-camp like prisons, of course this reflects the dramatic recent history. A praise for the little actors, especially the one playing "Lupini" is great.

Один из самых безумных фильмов Якубиско, содержательная часть примерно такая: автомобиль, набитый персонажами, катится по дороге - водитель с закрытыми глазами, машина несётся под откос, взрыв, пламя, водитель орёт - "Увидимся в аду, друзья!". Далее воспоминания Риты - приезд в дом полковника, у неё теперь два мужа, от них рождается дочка, жизнь продолжается в блаженном расслаблении вместе с двумя то ли святыми, то ли демонами в женском обличьи, которые рубят деревья и строят ковчег в ожидании великого потопа, затем дочку Риты, ещё совсем мелкую, распяли на кресте...
Что всё это значит можно попытаться понять из следующего описания взятого в сети: завершающая трилогию картина "До встречи в аду, друзья" была начата в 1969 году, а завершена спустя 20 лет. Это самая неровная из всех лент Якубиско, но снята она с не меньшей эмоциональной силой, чем две предыдущие. В фильме встречаются все грешники, творившие зло на земле и продолжающие творить его и на "том свете". Характерная для фильмов этого периода стертость грани между разумом и безумием, демонстративная бессмысленность фабулы (все как в дурном сне, бреду, галлюцинации из-за неопределенности локализации - не то явь, не то сон, не то здесь, не то уже за порогом смерти) в ленте "До встречи в аду, друзья" дополняется отказом от какой-либо сюжетности в пользу образности и метафорики, анатомирования тайных глубин подсознания. Фильм напоминает автоматическую запись спонтанно возникающих в сознании ярких фантастических образов, причудливой смеси фрагментов внезапно распавшейся реальности середины XX века. Отчаяние, исступленность, страх, садомазохизм, ужас, абсурд, разгул животных инстинктов заполняют экран, адекватно, по мнению автора, отражая "безумное время", в котором пришлось жить его поколению...
As a car full of an assortment of characters rolls down an embankment and bursts into flames, the old driver says "See You in Hell, Friends." The relations between the characters are shown in flashbacks. The pretty Rita and her fiancee Petras meet the old colonel, and come to live in his farmhouse. Rita marries the colonel as well as her fiancee, and has a daughter Christine. The colonel's supposed father shows up, and also makes amorous advances on Rita. They all live blissfully together until two holy women with axes arrive. The women start chopping down trees to build an ark. Rita starts having nightmares and Christine is crucified.

During a story of his war experiences, the baron reveals the scar of a wound from an American soldier and thrusts a pin through it, saying "see-- no feeling." Little does the boy realize that it is his turn to be wounded. But soon his adored friend heartlessly brushes him aside and turns his seductive attentions to his mother. The boy's jealousy and feelings of betrayal become uncontrollable.

The film was written and directed by Andrew Birkin, and stars Klaus Maria Brandauer, Faye Dunaway, and David Eberts. The film won the Young Jury Prize at the Brussels Film Festival in 1989, and David Eberts won the Special Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival in the same year.

 Редкая, по нынешним временам истеричной борьбы со всем и вся, французская короткометражка с известной долей юмора, но весьма откровенно поднимающая вопрос о подростковой сексуальности и постижении собственного либидо, описание взял из сети: "Несмотря на явно комедийный жанр, просмотр фильма вызывает определенный дискомфорт – он вторгается в сферу болезненных воспоминаний юности, периода сексуальных экспериментов и осознания власти собственного тела. Фильм об открытии законов сексуальности в переходном возрасте - того, через что все мы, так или иначе, проходили, и что не у всех оставило радостные воспоминания.

12-летняя Роза воспитывается в интернате при музыкальном училище. Она живёт в комнате с девочками постарше, где и начинает осознавать появление признаков собственного сексуального восприятия мира.

Женщина-режиссёр откровенно говорит о смешанных чувствах: любопытстве, привлекательности неизвестного, страхе и одновременном отвращении. Вуайеризм и восхищение рассказами о прелестях секса более старших девочек, вызывают в Розе страстное желание подражать их раскрепощённому поведению и самой испытать хоть что-либо из "взрослой жизни"…

 Неоднозначный, немного шокирующий, но очень изящный фильм Мишеля Девиля о поездке Люсии и Елены, двух подружек с детства, из Парижа на деревенские просторы юга Франции. Lucia and Elena are best friends since childhood. They take a car trip from Paris to the country. Their conversations are overtly intimate, but more revealing is their tacit understanding of each others' personality and desires.
Released outside of France as Travels on the Sky, Voyage en Douce stars Dominique Sanda and Geraldine Chaplin as sisters. Both ladies are married, though Chaplin has just left her husband. Insecure about this move, Chaplin joins the self-reliant Sanda for a weekend vacation in the south of France, where the two siblings carry on a long discussion about male-female relationships. By the time Monday rolls around, the previously indecisive Chaplin emerges as the more resilient of the two sisters. Voyage en Douce director Michel Deville prevailed upon 15 famous French writers to contribute anecdotes concerning their sexual experiences; the most powerful (and best staged) was the story of a rape--a story contributed anonymously.

In 1997, Little Cheung is a street-wise nine-year-old boy living in a bustling neighbourhood of Hong Kong, just before the reunification with China. His parents are always working at their restaurant, so Little Cheung becomes much closer to his grandmother and her Filipino maid Armi. Little Cheung befriends Fan, a girl his age who is an illegal immigrant from China. He splits his tips with her when she helps him deliver take-outs for his father. The pair have some amusing adventures, and delight in peeing in the drinks of a troublesome thug. Against his father's will, Little Cheung starts searching for his older brother, whom his father disowned because he became a gangster.

At the end of the Spanish civil war, Fando, a boy of about ten, tries to make sense of war and his father's arrest. His mother is religious, sympathetic to the Fascists; his father is accused of being a Red. Fando discovers that his mother may have aided in his father's arrest. Sometimes we witness Fando imagining explanations for what's going on; sometimes we see him at play, alone or with his friend Thérèse. Oedipal fantasies and a lad's natural curiosity about sex and death mix with his search for his mother's nature and his father's fate. Will Fando survive the search?

Милая Рита / Lovely Rita. 2001.

Lovely Rita is not lovely at all. She is a sulky, deceitful, calculating teenager bent on seducing the local bus driver. She is very much an outsider at school and is the source of many arguments at home.

In the title role Barbara Osika gives a good rendition of a frustrated and unbalanced youngster, despite the fact that the script is both rather dull and uninteresting.

A couple of sex scenes are suggested rather than portrayed in any detail. The faces of the participants are immobile and unseen by the camera. The back of the young girl's head is seen blocking out the face of the bus driver. With very little movement the rest is left to the imagination of the viewer. The scene is short. One wonders if the censor has been at work here.

The director seems to have an obsession with the backs of heads, but sometimes it can be quite effective. The bus driver is filmed from behind as he sits at the wheel ( just as the passengers see him) while Rita exchanges fleeting glances with him in the mirror above his head.

It's amazing how the lid of a pedestal toilet seat can start an argument which grows from day to day to an unexpectedly very tense situation.

The final climax comes quite suddenly and adds a nice bit of drama sadly lacking in the earlier part of the film.

"Бранденбургское лето. Анна с супругом Робертом и их общим сыном Максом живет в живописном загородном доме уединённого местечка Уккермарк. Кажется, пришло необременительное время отпуска: отдых с чистым деревенским воздухом и прохладой от близлежащего водоёма. С приездом Софи, сестры Лауры, которая с недавнего времени живет за границей, рушится семейная идиллия. Общение членов семьи становится поверхностным, а отношения между друг другом и вовсе осложняются."
A relaxing vacation becomes an impromptu family reunion when a family of three takes a sun soaked trip to their summer cottage, only to find the entire extended family unexpectedly showing up on their doorstep. Anna, Robert, and their adolescent son Max were looking forward to a quiet retreat to the Uckermark region of Germany, but their peace is soon shattered by the arrival of children, parents, siblings, and grandchildren. At first everyone does their best just to get along, though it doesn't take long for old wounds to fester and buried secrets to surface.
