Медленный, почти медитативный фильм Вендерса, снятый на чёрно-белую плёнку ещё до наступления мировой известности режиссёра. В картине ничего не происходит - журналист немецкого издания Филипп мотается на арендованной машине по восточному побережью США и героически пытается выполнить редакционное задание - написать репортаж об американской природе, в руках у него его вечный спутник - фотоаппарат Полароид. которым он снимает что попало в надежде найти в маленьких квадратных картинках источник вдохновения, но всё безуспешно. Что то существенное случается только на обратном пути, когда у Филиппа кончаются деньги и он вынужден вернуться в Германию: в аэропорту он встечает Лизу с дочкой Алисой и в итоге на следующий день они остаются с Алисой вдвоём так как мамаша куда то сбежала оставив им невразумительную записку. Скитания в поисках мифической бабули, теперь уже по просторам Германии продолжаются...

 Этот фильм первая работа в кино в качестве режиссёра Рафаэля Коркиди, оператора великого сюрреалиста Алехандро Ходоровски и здесь хорошо заметно влияние мастера. Сюрреалистическая фантазия на библейскую тему, сначала Адам и Ева в райском саду, их роли исполнили дети режиссёра, Леа и Пабло Коркиди, так же Рафаэль Коркиди как бы поменял их местами - в фильме доминирует не Адам, а Ева: она раньше появляется на сцене и она старше, ведёт и направляет Адама в путешествии по Раю. Далее, после символического падения райских чертогов мы оказываемся в каком то замке, или, возможно, монастыре, собираюися довольно странные насельники этого заведения одетые весьма демократично и невозможно определить время. в которое всё происходит. Юный Кристиан встречает прекрасную Анжелу, любовь, но что же дальше..?
Angeles y querubines is the first feature directed by Rafael Corkidi, cinematographer of such visual masterpieces as El Topo and The Holy Mountain. This surreal Mexican fantasy shows influences of Alejandro Jodorowsky as you would expect, and also of the style of Kenneth Anger, and the darker side of Czech “fairy tale” cinema. Visuals are rich and original, the music less so but still a pleasure. Overall it’s rather mellower than the typical “head trip” film of the early ‘seventies which seemed to revel in causing shock and offence. I found it an absolute delight.
The prelude is set in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve played by the director’s infant children. It’s gender-reversed with Eve arriving first, which is probably significant. After ten minutes, just as you might be starting to seriously question what you have downloaded, we move on to the main story, introduced by a biblical quotation: “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them”.
We find ourselves in a castle, or perhaps a convent judging by the number of nuns around. A gathering of the ruling family appears to be taking place. An eclectic mix of costumes suggests no particular time and place. We meet our young hero Cristian (Jorge Humberto Robles), a fine young fellow, clean, upstanding, dare I say it even virginal.
Actually it’s safest if I don’t try to set out the plot, except to say that we seem to have an allegory of a Pilgrim, or Grail Knight, who one day leaves the convent garden and meets, falls in love with, and pursues to the ends of the Earth the beautiful Angela (Helena Rojo). So are the young couple to live happily ever after? Or will our hero be condemned to an eternity of shirt-ripping Byronic frustration?
Unfortunately the picture quality is dire as you can see. I’m almost certain it’s not supposed to be that tint. And the border jumps around in a distracting way. Nevertheless this is still a must for lovers of fantasy cinema.

The children, as young as two or three, have room and time to question, wonder, and learn. We build a wading pool, use tools, climb and swing, bath a dog - and learn to live together. There are spats, and little adult interference. A tree house sparks children's imagination. They visit a neighboring farm, play with the animals and ride on a tractor that's plowing. They eat and nap. There's story time, easels for art, and a lollipop. It's the perfect place for city children to be safe from bombardment, says the narrator.

Von Trier has crafted what may be his magnum opus. He goes further into his often explored themes of suffering, femininity and the breaking of social norms. Indeed, this may be one of the most intense inquisitions into the female mind ever put to film. And it has a refreshingly feminist, sex positive tonal undercurrent. Incredible acting from all involved but Jamie Bell, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Uma Thurman especially. For anyone cultured there is nothing outrageous or controversial here, just a solid thought provoking film from a master of the art form.

One of them narrates, wistfully explaining how their mother abandoned them and calls them once in a while to see how they are doing or tell them she loves them. The three kids do as they please, roaming the streets, running out of restaurants without paying for food, and shoplifting from the local grocery store. They eat whatever and whenever they want, gorging themselves on sweets. They beg for change on the Metro and show up late for school in tattered, dirty clothes. Dictado (aka Childish Games) tells the story of a childless couple, Daniel and Laura, both teachers, who are confronted by an unusual situation when Mario, a childhood friend of Daniel's, turns up acting strangely and wanting them to meet his daughter, Julia. Daniel manages to get rid of him, but the next day he learns of Mario's suicide. Julia, who is now an orphan, ends up being taken in temporarily by the couple, despite Daniel's discomfort at not only the strange encounter with Mario but also the excessive enthusiasm of Laura at playing the role of mother. The tension builds as Laura tries to help Julia regain the will to live and Daniel begins to feel threatened by some of Julia's behaviors, as well as the apparent awakening of memories of a terrifying past involving Mario that he thought he had put behind him.

 Дикое кинобезумство от бразильцев, приключенческая эротическая мелодрама про бытие на "необитаемом" острове. Молодая семья плавала на яхте по волнам тропических морей, причалили к какому то островку и пока детишки, 2 девчушки лет девяти, играли на пляже, их неразумные предки ухитрились взорвать яхту вместе с собой, в итоге остались детишки одни на острове, казавшемся изначально необитаемым. Им удалось выжить и вот они уже подросли, остров оказался не таким уж необитаемым, к тому же вдруг откуда ни возьмись из пучины морской выползает космонавт(!!!) и пошло-поехало безобразие разнузданное и без цензуры. В общем это надо видеть...
К сожалению качество картинки оставляет желать лучшего, но на просторах инета пока не найдено.
Название этого угарного чуда не стал переводить на русский ибо звучит слишком двусмысленно)).

In this one, a couple is watching their two young daughters play on a beach from their yacht when suddenly the thing explodes. The girls grow into youthful nymphs on the seemingly deserted island (there's a pre-industrial village elsewhere in this place that's terrorized by a hairy brute with a penchant for rape). One day an astronaut washes ashore and befriends the two ladies and falls for one of them. Then shit turns sour. Completely unexpected ending and animal violence included. Lame XXX sex scenes and language barrier aside, this is a strangely engrossing film.
